β Do I need to bring my own dirt bike?
Answer:
Yes. All riders must bring their own properly prepared dirt bike. This expedition is designed for experienced riders using their own equipment. Motorcycle rental is not included.
β What type of motorcycle is recommended?

We recommend 450cc or larger off-road motorcycles such as KTM 450/500 EXC-F, Husqvarna FE 450/501, Honda CRF 450X / 450RL, Yamaha WR450F, Beta 430β500 RR, or equivalent. Heavy adventure bikes and beginner trail bikes are not recommended.
β What riding experience level is required?

1. Rider Eligibility & Approval
This expedition is designed exclusively for intermediate to advanced off-road riders. All participants must submit accurate riding experience and motorcycle information for approval prior to confirmation. Take The Wheel Baja reserves the right to refuse participation to any rider who does not meet skill, safety, or equipment requirements.
2. Motorcycle Requirements
All riders must provide their own properly prepared dirt bike suitable for multi-day off-road riding. Motorcycles must be mechanically sound and equipped for desert conditions. The organizer reserves the right to inspect and reject any motorcycle deemed unsafe or unfit for the expedition.
3. Physical Fitness & Responsibility
Participants must be in good physical condition and capable of riding long distances in remote terrain. By booking this expedition, riders confirm they are physically and mentally fit to participate and assume full responsibility for their health and performance.
4. Risk Acknowledgment
Off-road motorcycling involves inherent risks including injury, equipment damage, and remote travel conditions. By participating, riders acknowledge and accept all risks associated with off-road riding, including but not limited to accidents, weather conditions, terrain hazards, mechanical failure, and medical emergencies.
5. Liability Waiver
All participants are required to sign a liability waiver prior to departure. Take The Wheel Baja, its partners, guides, and staff shall not be held liable for injury, loss, damage, or death resulting from participation in this expedition.
6. Safety & Conduct
Participants must follow all instructions from guides and support staff at all times. Reckless behavior, intoxication, or refusal to follow safety procedures may result in immediate removal from the expedition without refund.
7. Mechanical Failures & Withdrawals
Basic mechanical assistance and recovery support are provided. Major mechanical failures or personal inability to continue may result in early withdrawal from the expedition. No refunds will be issued for early departures or incomplete participation.
8. Route & Itinerary Changes
Routes, schedules, and accommodations may be adjusted due to weather, safety concerns, road conditions, or logistical requirements. The organizer reserves the right to modify the itinerary when necessary to ensure participant safety and expedition success.

12. Media & Marketing
By participating, riders grant permission for photos and video taken during the expedition to be used for promotional and marketing purposes unless otherwise requested in writing prior to departure.
13. Governing Law
This expedition is operated in Mexico and is governed by applicable Mexican laws and regulations. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts.
